Meet the pre-k teachers
mrs. pallmannHello, my name is Mrs. Debe Pallmann. I am the lead teacher in our Pre-K classroom. I am half Okinawan and half American. My father was in the American military, so I have lived in many places in the United States and Asia. My husband and I have been living in Okinawa for the last 17 years. We both have been part of the OCSI team since 2011. My speciality is early childhood and at OCSI I have taught Pre-K as well as Kindergarten. I am looking forward to how God will lead my team and me in creating the best learning environment for your child this year.
Fun facts about me: My favorite colors are blue and green. My favorite foods are dark chocolate, goya champuru, Indian curries, enchiladas, and pizza. I have two teenage girls who attend OCSI, two cats, and a bunny. I love hanging out with my family, reading, the arts, and watching movies. |
Mrs. nakamuraHello, my name is Mrs. Toshie Nakamura and I am one of the Pre-K teachers this year. I was born from a Japanese father and Korean mother, and born and grew up in Tokyo, Japan. My family and I lived in Canada for about 9 years, and we came back to Okinawa in 2018. I joined the OCSI team in Feb 2021 as a Kindergarten TA. I learned about early childhood and child education at university. I was teaching scuba diving in Vancouver and working at a diving shop in Okinawa. I love the ocean because I am amazed by God's creation. I am excited to meet the new students and looking forward to seeing the students grow and for everyone to know Christ more!! Fun facts about me: My favorite foods are Korean food, Thai food, Italian food, fruits, and Mont Blanc cake. I have four children. I love art, reading, and cooking. |
